Every Day is New

These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world. John 16:33 KJV

walking

There is a peace in Christ that settles your emotions and reactions. Recognize that he stays with you as long as you do not resist him. He desires to keep you strong and able to make it through life, from the beginning of your day to the moment you release the day into his hands and rest at night. God has created Christ for this purpose and there is nothing you are experiencing that God has not considered.

Lift your head and do not be afraid to hold onto your future. If you are holding onto to your future your hope is in what is to come. God has a best for you, go forward and live as though you want that best until you are living in it. Affirm yourself on today, you have a worth and a purpose; don’t allow the enemy to steal it away from you.

Connected To The Vine

Abide

If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what you will, and it shall be done unto you. St. John 15:7 KJV

If we accept God’s instructions, his way of helping us to live on this earth, God will hear us and answer us. The Ten Commandments are God’s words and should not be looked at as a strict set of rules to be challenged. God’s words are the foundation for living in such a way that causes us to abide with him. The commandments God set for us to live by provide insight into God’s character, and being made in his image these words create the silhouette for our own character.

The Ten Commandments are a part of the God authored handbook known as the Bible. The Bible not only holds the Ten Commandments, but it holds the answers to a number of life’s questions and dilemmas we find ourselves in. Gods words are with power and his handbook will allow us to build an integrity based character and a positive memorable lifestyle, but will more importantly lead the soul into a position for external life.

Christ, the vine has made it possible for our connections to him and God the Father to be solid, but we must acknowledge and accept him as Christ the Savior who died for our sins and rose again. Christ encourages us to be the branches that are connected to the vine, which leads to the Father. Being the fruitful branch allows us the opportunity to live as we should and to petition God for our needs.

Glory

 Cross

And God shall wipe away all the tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. Revelation 21:4 KJV

A promise made

Being answered.

Claiming what belongs

Under his wing.

We are his,

That are called;

Not by a phone,

By a thunderous voice

That is calm and gentle.

My owner

Splitting the sky.

Doing his truth,

His beauty, he’s very alive.

Not this world for me

I belong to one;

He Son stretched out on the tree.

The story has been told;

The beauty and the truth.

All his power unleashed

To rescue his children,

You and me.

The creator, He knew

All that would be done.

He knew who would follow his son.

He knows all, nothing you can hide.

He is pure, not of our mind;

Perfect and just,

Can you see this glory,

That only one God has?

Open your eyes!

His coming is a must.

Highest Praise

highest

O Lord, thou art my God; I will exalt thee, I will praise thy name; for thou hast done wonderful things; thy counsels of old are faithfulness and truth.  Isaiah 25.1 KJV

You are good.

I bless you daily.

For your grace and mercy I praise your name.

Hallelujah!

You sent help I didn’t deserve.

You gave love I couldn’t understand.

The pain that vowed never to leave, you erased.

I gave up and you poured out hope.

Hallelujah!

You allowed trials to see me achieve.

You passed out test to watch me soar.

You never failed a day in my life.

You showed me how you are like no other.

Hallelujah!

I give you praise,

I bless your name.

My voice is as a harp, a trumpet, a psaltery.

Hallelujah!

Don’t just talk about it, live it…

For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: But if forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive you. Matthew 6:14-15 KJV

To open your mouth and apologize, ask for forgiveness, or to forgive someone else is not always the thing the mind and heart wants to do. It is not difficult to talk about forgiveness, but actually doing it when there is a need is when the hesitation and struggle show up. How do you actually forgive others or seek forgiveness for yourself, making it something that is achievable rather than something that is only talked about.

I will share my experience with this issue from both sides. There are some people that I had to forgive and some that I had to apologize to so the air between us would clear. Forgiving others was not any easier than seeking forgiveness. I had to understand what I was doing and why. It was about letting go of what could not be changed in each situation. In some cases it meant forgiving those who did not apologize, those who were not sorry about their actions and apologizing to others in a general way for what I was not aware of doing.

What really had to happen for me to apologize and to forgive others is a change in my heart about what I felt others deserved and what had happened to me. I also had to consider what was more vital to me holding on to what occurred or letting it go so that I could live better. I let it go, vengeance and all that was keeping forgiveness from flowing out of me and into me. My trust in God and my relationship with him allowed me to see and do this.

To master forgiveness you have to come to a point of believing that you will be okay if you let go of what cannot be undone or changed. Release it like a balloon full of helium and do not worry about where it lands. Remember to trust God. If you are trusting God there is not any situation that you have to go through alone. Keep him in your life daily right at the front and he will be with you during every good or trying situation you enter into.

Is Your Style of Armor Working?

Armor181

Prayer is armor. It is one that protects, develops, and increases the spirit, characteristics, and the abilities you already have. This is an armor that is needed for the war that comes into your life with or without warning.

I am not talking about the kind of prayer that is done just for one to say that he or she has prayed for the day, week or month. I am focusing on the prayer of intimacy and growth, the prayer that will transform you (your thoughts and actions) and even what you see as you pray. This prayer is come by seeking God’s face, not looking up into the sky and imagining Him as a shape of a cloud. I am speaking of getting low, getting your own face hidden so His can be sought. This kind of prayer allows you to feel His presence and to hear His voice. This is prayer as armor.

When suffering loss, financial distress, or any kind of life altering obstacle you feel it, when you are attacked you feel it physically, mentally, and emotionally then you feel the impact to your spirit. Most attacks in life become a spiritual war. You are faced with being up or down or stuck somewhere in between and you run from one end to the other trying to keep a balance. Without the proper armor you will feel an intensified blow, become exhausted and may have trouble recovering. Even when you are armed you must be sure to use all of your armor to get the most benefits from what is available. Don’t let your armor sit dormant while you suffer.

Become mentally equipped to execute the use of your armor. The mentally equipped will keep fighting if the will to succeed is dominant and if faith in a winning outcome is present. In the mind is where the battle begins and if your mind is ready you can move forward believing that your armor will do you some good. You will believe that you can use what you have to effectively counteract what comes against your spirit.

You have the armor within you strengthen it, all you need is: time, a private place, your voice, your ears, your mind, and faith. Prepare yourself, life is happening every day.

If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not ear me: But verily God hath heard me; he hath attended to the voice of my prayer. Blessed be God, which hath not turned away my prayer, nor his mercy from me. Psalms 66:18-20

Overcome To Live

Overcome: to defeat someone or something, to gain control of something difficult, to affect someone very strongly (Merriam-Webster, 2014).

Satan is not for you, he is not excited about your victories. He feels good when you fail, are overtaken by life, and find yourself crawling instead of standing. He enjoys seeing you injured. When you are injured you have potential to be eliminated.

Recall a time when you were stumbling over the rocks on you path and chose to voice your issues to others; what response did you get? If you have witnessed others sit up with excitement and tuned in to hear your misery you can use that kind of response to gauge exactly how Satan is behaving when he has injured you and is waiting to overcome you. He is enjoying with anticipation, circling his prey, preparing to devour you. Some of the people in your circle or those you communicate with may not want to devour you, but if they seemingly perk up at your troubles they have a similar spirit. They may not appear to be harmful, but they are. People of that nature bring negativity and negativity drains life of energy, energy that you need to keep from being defeated.

Now consider when you have succeeded or overcame, you shared the good news about the promotion you received, the insight you gained from a recent failure or the debt you paid off, and what happens? Does the body language of your audience change; does the voice of a certain friend or acquaintance become monotone or maybe these people cannot get a vocabulary word out that exudes congratulations or a “way to go friend”. It could be that you have excelled where they have not, however it is not a positive responds and this is how you can expect Satan to respond. He is disappointed and is not going to congratulate you, but he is thinking of how to overcome you for the future. He is planning an attack, a way to injure you, or a way to eliminate you through the way you deal with life events.

You can stop the process of elimination, you can overcome. You can overcome sin and be reconciled to God. You can overcome obstacles and day to day blows and leave Satan defeated. When you are able to overcome in such a way you can then feel and live out the meaning of the scripture that reads like this: “If God is for us, who can be against us” (Romans 8:31KJV). If you are an overcomer you are becoming more intimate with God. You have learned to be equipped by Him through prayer and fasting and he is for you. You are his called, and his chosen, and his faithful; God is for you, but Satan can be against you. If you are living as a diluted version of the power Satan has in the earth by way of the sin you have not yet escaped, he can come against you, but with God you will overcome.

Live to be an overcomer and overcome to live.

Scripture Inspiration; Romans 8, Revelation 12, 13 KJV

Groundwork

There is always a challenge, a test from a distance or one that is brave enough to get right in our faces and release a steady flow of hot air into our space. We don’t always know it is coming or how long it will stay, but once it is there it will try to move us and take over our comfort zone. If we are prepared it does not matter if our zone is no longer one of comfort, we will be able to adjust.

When the power is out a flashlight with fresh batteries rest on the designated shelf and you can get to it in the dark. The path to it was mapped out in your mind while it was daylight, soon you can see again. Driving down the highway a flat tire brings you to a halt. Tucked away out of sight there is a spare tire and all the tools to get you moving again. We prepare ourselves for days like this that have a probability of occurring. We prepare to keep from bumping our heads on a closed door as we stumble through the darkness. That spare tire is there and the tools to utilize it so we will not be stranded. These challenges come unexpected, but being ready carries us through them.

Some challenges are more difficult to take on and get through, but preparation will prove its worth. In all that you do to plan for disasters, accidents, and other challenges that show up in your face, prayer should be the background preparation; especially when you need more than a flashlight or a spare tire. With prayer in the background adjusting will not be a problem. Every time the hot air flows too close and moves you from the place of comfort the wall that catches you will be your preparation. When you turn around to look behind you in astonishment because you knew no physical wall was there you will know your prayers are working in your environment.

A test, trial, or challenge will come; do your groundwork and change the outcome.

On my knees things happen…

My eyes are open while they are closed…

My head is down, but it is lifted up…

The room is filled with silence…

My ears hear a powerful voice…

My body is present, but I am in a different place…

My lungs breathe in a familiar air…

There is a thick vapor; it is what I feel…

When I am on my knees things happen…

To be on my knees is pleasure…

I Need Another Fix…

Another lie for the liar, another steal for the thief, another hit for the addict, another drink for the alcoholic, and another loan for the spender, all fixes. These are nothing but temporary satisfactions. A sensation comes before the need and if you have one of these conditions it is time to learn how to recognize the sensation when it is forming and use power against it.

If you are saved, or a Christian you may be in the habit of using the crucifixion and resurrection of Christ to get you through another situation, sin, or iniquity as though Jesus is a fix. This is not proper use of the love and power God has for us and has given to us through Christ. Jesus has come to reconcile us to God and free us not to be a fix, a temporary solution. For those who do not know Christ yet take note of the proper use of the benefit of being reconciled to God to use once you decide to welcome Christ into your heart and life.

Think about the last time you called on God, did you request a fix for the symptoms, or a cure for the condition. If you requested a fix and received it you got by for a while, and then had to come back for the same symptoms later. If you requested a cure and received it you no longer had to come to God for the same condition. Getting by is not a way to live, eventually the symptoms will overwhelm you and force you into state that you never desired to be in.

What would your life be like if you ask God to cure your financial problems instead of giving you a solution to get by for a few months? How good would you feel if you had real joy instead of a smile that hides the pain behind it? With a cure you could actually stop having those sexual desires and build a strong marriage with one person, walk past a bar without feeling your flesh tingle, sincerely congratulate someone else because you are no longer bitter or insecure. Without asking and expecting a fix you can live free and enjoy being you through a cure.

The next time you are communing with God study your heart and define if your request is a cure or a fix. If you have been consistently asking for a fix you need to discover why. The fix does feel good, but you will soon be back in the state of mind prior to the fix. You will never live as you are intended to with a “fix” lifestyle. It doesn’t work for the liar, the thief, the drug addict, alcoholic or the spender. It won’t work for you either, get the cure.

And in that same hour he cured many of their infirmities and plagues, and of evil spirits; and unto many that were blind he gave sight. Luke 7:21

Then he called his twelve disciples together, and gave them power and authority over all devils, and to cure diseases. Luke 9:1
